A message to my male comrades…
The price of my solidarity with you is your rejection of the privilege you have over me

I was just wondering what would indicate that your male comrades have rejected the privilege they have over you?

Well its not something that can ever be completed… its more of a gradual and continual process. Its a process I’m willing to work with my comrades on, and a process I’m willing to work on in myself - to reject the privileges I have over others.
The reason I address this offer to my male comrades is that I currently organise with a group that is all male (except for myself), and from time to time, I recognise aspects of male privilege being excercised over me. And I don’t like it.

If there are situations you don’t like etc. You should talk about it! Or try to creat an environment together with your comrades where you can talk about those issues. It’s probably quiet hard because you are the only female person in the group, but I know now besser method to issue these problems.

Yeah - its one thing to talk about it, and yet another to be listened to and another again to have your complaints treated seriously and then addressed.
I do talk about sexism I face. Though in this collective, that discussion has been going on for years (and other women before me have carried it on too). People have resigned on occasion because of the “woman question”…and still it goes on. There are some blokes who get it, and some who never will. I work with both, I engage with both about sexism, sometimes it works out, sometimes not.
I write it here for others like me, who may benefit from my experiences, or from analysis of what I say and do.
